My name is Andreas Karaoulanis.

I studied computer science and animation. My current work deals with interactive media design and animated film, including digital and analog approaches.
I also work as a tutor of visual effects and artistic video content (animations, video clips, trailers, presentations, explanatory videos, etc.).

My works were presented in museums in London, Moscow and Paris, as well as in numerous galleries throughout Europe. Over the last years I worked as a freelance event / media artist for various institutions and companies in Berlin such as Berlin Academy of Arts, Eidotech GmbH, Luxoom Medienprojekte GmbH and Mediapool gmbH as well as international institutions such as Ircam-Center Pompidou in Paris and Onassis Cultural Center in Athens.

I have particular experience in the creation of animation content and implementation of installations in the field of audiovisual technology.

My main focus is creating animation content, plus technical support for artists, galleries, museums and corporate events. These are jobs that require knowledge of the most current technology standards. The main tool for creating content is Adobe After Effects.

My work involves advanced knowledge of
> mac computer, video media players, such as Brightsign and Blackmagic Design devices,
Video wall presentations and various systems for interactive presentations.
> Audio Video Editing – Post Production -Transcoding, Rendering.
> Video installations target different screens – materials on standard or custom surfaces (mapping).

I am also a member of the VJ culture. with real-time experience to trigger and control visuals using various softwares and programming languages like Max-MSP Jitter, C++, and Java.
